After being in Chile and feeling the aftershocks every day, we are able to see the work of God amongst the Chilean Christians.
On Saturday, March 13, we visited some communities around Vina del Mar in the Llolleo area. This area"s infrastructure was affected. The local church of Vina del Mar distributed food, clothing, medicine, toys, batteries and other provisions for the second time. They also prayed with the victims. There where a lot of tears and many hearts that came to know Jesus for the first time.
We also visited a community called Lo Gallardo. The people there welecomed us with open arms and asked if the church could keep on visiting this community. The leader of the community called us the The Guardian Angeles of God. We were able to give counseling and prayers for the people . This area"s infrastructure wasn"t affected by the earthquake but the people there are frightened by what happened. The Church of Villa de Mar now has immediate plans to plant a church in this are. We realized that this area has a lot of witchcraft and the people there actively practice it. We believe that the altars of witchcraft will be destroyed by the power of God.
God is doing great things through the local church. The director of the area, Rev Juan Jose Zany and his team of pastors in Chile are there to present a plan to turn these horrible circumstances of the earthquake to minister for the kingdom. The plan includes helping out the current churches and planting new churches. Chile isn"t feeling an earthquake but a spiritual revival.
