(NCSA Peru) With the theme “God’s not dead”, the NYI of the Central East District held its 2018 Huánuco Camp in the city of the same name located in the North Central part of Peru.
Fifty-one young people from the regions of Pucallpa, Tocache and Huánuco participated. The main themes addressed were: God’s forgiveness, God’s love and Salvation. There was also a forum on current issues in the country.
Pastors Cesar Arroyo, District Superintendent; Oscar Suárez, National Communications Coordinator; Daniel Huamanchumo, District NYI President of North Peru; and sociologist Richard Diego, were invited as speakers at the camp.
It was a time when the grace of God was manifested in the lives of young people, being challenged to live for the glory of God. They experienced beautiful moments of praise and worship, listened to the Word of God and experienced God’s forgiveness, His love and His salvation. There were moments of fellowship and sport.
“I am grateful for God’s faithfulness. By speaking to our lives through the speakers, by touching the hearts of young people and moving them to repentance. It was an event that will mark the history of the Church of the Nazarene in our Central East District. Honor and glory be to our God, ” said District NYI Vice President, Pastor Carlos Osores.
“It was worth all the effort we made to get to camp. God touched our lives and we came back home with new strength to our communities to continue living as disciples of Christ” is the unanimous testimony of those who were at the camp. Glory to God!
