South Cone Field

South Cone Living the Great Commission

The Church of the Nazarene’s Southern Cone Field is experiencing a wonderful time of renewal and revival. The entire ministerial network is gearing up for the great challenge that extending the Kingdom of our Lord to the ends of the earth represents. The vision grows when the network of Nazarene ministries consolidates their short, medium and long-term planned objectives in unity of purpose.

Uruguay, as a country and its two districts, has begun a project for reaching more people called VISION 20/20 with the purpose of growing 700 %. That means reaching 20,000 members by the year 2020.

“Yes! It can be done!” was the exclamation that approved the project 20/20 unanimously by the leaders of the Church of the Nazarene in Uruguay. “Yes! It can be done!” is the challenge we hear in the Southern Cone when we see the hand of God working and the Holy Spirit beginning a revival in many places.

Living the Great Commission is to make, with good work, the growth of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.Vision + Prayer + Planning + Action = Multiplication.  “With God we will gain the victory…” Psalm 60:12a (NIV).

The Church of the Nazarene South Cone has taken the challenge, under the power of the Holy Spirit, considering that: (1) The harvest is ready. (2) The church is living the Great Commission. (3) The church is ready and available for every good work since: we were created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Ephesians 2:10); The Lord empowers us to do the works He did (John 14:2); We are equipped for every good work (Hebrews 13:21); He is perfecting a good work in us we are perfected in every good work (Philippians 1:6); We abound in good works (2 Corinthians 9:8); We are rich in good works (I Timothy 6:18); We can evaluate ourselves in our works (Galatians 6:4); We glorify God with the good works that we do (1 Peter 2:12); God will reward us according to our deeds (Revelation 22:12).
