The proclamation of the message that our Savior left us is an action of the church. We cannot imagine a church that does not emphasize the proclamation of Jesus Christ’s message. There are three concepts that must be highlighted about evangelism:

We exist for evangelism

t is a question of origin. We can rejoice in eternal life in Christ because He died for us; He thought about us. We are debtors to those who preached to us: missionary, pastor, or layperson. We are debtors to the person that loved us, that made an effort and took time to present the gospel to us. Our faith in Christ exists because someone gave us the message. This faith can cease to exist if we do not share it. The church of this generation is just one step from extinction if we fail the next generation.

Our objective is evangelism

Evangelism reveals who we are. Christ gave Himself on the cross for us. He not only saved us, but He also left His disciples the responsibility to announce that hope for humanity. The great work of salvation includes us. It behooves us to share the message, because we are part of salvation’s story. The story of the cross should reach every person. Evangelism is placing salvation and eternal life within the reach of everyone. This reality is fulfilled only if we proclaim the message.

Nuestro objetivo es el evangelismo

Many times, we hear that evangelists are winners of people. In one sense of the word, that is true. However, Jesus challenged each of us to preach the gospel, to make disciples, and to go into all the world preaching the Good News. God is the One who saves people and receives them as sons. The decision lies with the individual. Christ paid the price for our sins and the Holy Spirit convicts us. Therefore, what is our part as followers of Christ? Our work is to proclaim the message of salvation. Our greatest responsibility is the proclamation. As Nazarene leaders, our principal objective of the ministry God has given us is that every person in our church share the message of salvation with an unsaved person and guide them in the beginning of their Christian life.

It is important that every leader develop a STRATEGY for the place where he ministers. He can use the multiple tools that already exist in the context of his ministry.

Once God gives you a good strategy, in order that it is repeated periodically, it is necessary to have an ANNUAL PLAN. It is important to be creative so that every person in our circle of influence can receive the message of salvation in a way they can understand.

We have to be visionaries to embark on great projects that lead many to the feet of Christ, and above all, we have to be humble to realize that our role can only be efficient if the Holy Spirit is the One who guides us.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58.
