Sunday School and Discipleship

Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI) in the South America Region is a ministry of the Church of the Nazarene formed by many ministries directed to people of different ages. The mission of SDMI consists of:

Fulfilling the Great Commission among children, youth and adults in order to prepare them for a Holy Christian life.

As the Lord’s church, through the Great Commission, we understand that we should go to EVERYONE, making DISCIPLES, teaching ALL of the Word of God and trusting that God will be with us ALWAYS.

Six purposes arise from this mission:

1.To locate and win for Christ the maximum number of people possible who don’t attend church.

2.To ensure that new people are integrated into the fellowship of the church.

3.To teach the Word of God in an effective way, in order to bring people to salvation and the experience of Entire Sanctification.

4.To motivate and equip Christians to participate in a discipleship ministry.

5.To teach the doctrines of the Christian faith revealed in the Bible and interpreted by the Church of the Nazarene’s Articles of Faith.

6.To prepare Christians to enter into membership in the Church of the Nazarene.

To fulfill these purposes SDMI is divided into three basic ministries: Children’s Ministry, Adult Ministry and Youth Ministry. These ministries help us fulfill the mission that God has entrusted to us in different age groups.

It is our desire that we work together in this valuable ministry and we desire to be able to serve them in different ways by providing resources, training and being available for everything that the church needs in this area.

It is a challenge all that we can do for the Lord through the different SDMI ministries and how we can help people to grow in the different areas of their lives. For this you can consult the ministry link for the ministry in which you are serving and use the resources that we have available.

I encourage and challenge you to serve together and to keep in contact in order to know how we are growing in this challenge. “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain”
1 Corinthians 15:58.
