(NCSA Peru) 98 people representing 10 of Peru’s districts and 6 district superintendents came together in the City of Trujillo in Peru for a training on Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM).

The event was held from the 5th to 7th of September and some of the topics that were discussed were: Child Protection Policy; Pastor’s Kid Sponsorship Program; CDCs, Child Development Centers; How to Present Disaster Response Projects; Natural Disasters in Peru, Prevention and Response; How to Mobilize the Local Church in Nazarene Compassionate Ministries?

The presenters for this event included Rev. Luis Meza, HMC in Colombia; Rev. José David Acosta, HCM in Peru; Chad Dickerson who is currently serving as Regional Coordinator for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries on the South America Region; Rev. Enrique Solano, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Coordinator for Peru; Jessica Rojas, Child Sponsorship Coordinator for Argentina and Uruguay and Lorena Moya, NCM Regional Consultant for Ministries with Children and Teens with Disabilities. 

At the end of the event, the attendees were left challenged and motivated to develop an excellent ministry for the glory of God.
