(CNAS Uruguay) On June 10, 2018 a new church was formed in Uruguay. The Church of the Nazarene in the city of Paso de los Toros, Uruguay, planted a new church in the city of Durazno, capital of the state that bears the same name. Reverend Mario Derigo, pastor of the mother church, along with an evangelistic team and Reverend Margot Bica, now pastor of the new church, worked 1 year 3 months.

God has done wonders! A congregation of more than 40 assistants, they rented from their own funds and dreamed even more. This is the second church they plant in the region, after the “La Esperanza” Church. Through this church lives have been transformed, families restored and people have been healed. Those who know them will soon realize that they express affection and a spontaneous love. By being with all of them, one can recognize the spirit and feel a healthy fellowship and a passion for evangelism and a holy life. As we participate, we are more convinced than ever that church planting is essential for Kingdom growth and the most effective way to help people in their integral development. Dorazno has a church that preaches holiness.
