(CNAS Uruguay) On May 18, 19 and 20 of 2018 in the city of Tacuarembó the Northern District of Uruguay developed the Pastoral Life Seminar “Caring for those who care.”
There were 41 people in attendance: 12 pastoral couples, 13 leaders involved in ministerial life and different expositors and guests participated. It was a blessed time, since the pastoral was approached to be a participant in the care of the integral health of the minister, as a priority to have a balanced life and family; and, therefore, a healthy church.
The expositor was the Rev. Geraldo Nunes (CIM of Brazil) who was accompanied by his wife, the Rev. Waner Nunes, regional Women’s ministries leader. The women and mothers of the district had a special workshop time for encouragement and to continue with the important ministerial work in each of their local churches as they also participated in a small meeting especially prepared in honor of Mother’s Day. Rev. Rocio Fonseca, leader of Women’s Ministries in Uruguay accompanied them in this time.
We are grateful to the District Superintendent, Rev. Jesus Bernat and his wife, Rev. Laura Bianchi, for their valued help for the success of this time and also for their constant support of the regional leaders in the development and advancement of the church in Uruguay.
After this Pastoral Life Seminar, we begin Phase 1 for the new churches involved in the regional initiative “Living the great Commission” for the Northern District. We greatly appreciate the prayers for God’s plans and purposes for the church in Uruguay.
