(NCSA Peru) The National Board of Theological Education in Peru, formed of the District Superintendents of the country and lay representatives, in their regular annual meeting, re-elected Dr. Evelio Vasquez Malca as Rector of Nazarene Theological Seminary of Peru (STNP) for the years 2019 and 2020.

Dr. Vasquez is a graduate from STNP, having earned his Bachelor’s degree from the seminary. He earned his Masters in the Mission of the Church from Nazarene Seminary of the Americas (SENDAS) through a partnership with South America Nazarene Theological Seminary (STNS), whose campus is in Quito, Ecuador. He also holds a Doctorate in Ministry from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.

Dr. Vasquez has been married for 35 years to Rev. Gladis Bereche. They have three children, Jocelyn, Gabriela, and Randy. In his ministerial career Dr. Vasquez has served as pastor, District Superintendent, National Coordinator of Theological Education by Extension, professor and Rector for the past 8 years.

STNP serves the Church of the Nazarene in Peru through its programs: Diploma in Theology, Holistic Child and Adolescent Development and Youth Ministry; Bachelor’s in Theology and Child and Adolescent Development; License in Theology; and Masters in Ministry with emphasis in Pastoral Leadership.
