por | Feb 14, 2020

(NCSA Perú). Reverend Enrique Solano Castro has been elected as the new Superintendent of the Alto Marañon District in Peru. The election was the culmination of a process coordinated by the District Advisory Council; Field Strategy Coordinator, Evelio Vásquez; and General Superintendent, Gustavo Crocker.

The election of Rev. Castro comes after the former superintendent Rev. Herbert Barco Paima was elected to Rector of Nazarene Theological Seminary of Peru.

A ceremony was held to install Rev. Castro as Superintendent in the headquarters of the district in Jaén, Peru, on Friday, January 31, 2020. Many pastors, local leaders, and church members were present for the ceremony.

The Alto Marañon District consists of the Churches of the Nazarene in the Jaén and San Ignacio Provinces of Northern Peru.

Reverend Castro gave thanks to God after his installation, for the opportunity to serve with new responsibility and announced that a great prayer and fasting time would begin in the entire district, to ask God for unity and health in the church.
